Sixth prince of Beili and Yong'an Prince (永安王). Most favoured to inherit the throne but before he can do that, he must first return to Heavenly Revelations alive.

 

雷无桀 Lie Wujie

Holder of the fourth-ranked Heart sword and Qinglong Guardian of Heavenly Revelations. He pledged to stand by and protect Xiao Se but must first fix his sword and become more powerful.

唐莲 Tang Lian

Having made his choice to stand with Xiao Se, he returned to Tang Sect to study Baili Dongjun's wine brewing techniques.

司空千落 Sikong Qianluo

Decided to stand with Xiao Se and hopes to accompany him to Heavenly Revelations.

Youngest brother of Mingde Emperor, appointed Regent in the absence of the emperor. Although he openly supports Xiao Chuhe, he stays out of party politics.

华锦 Hua Jin 

Youngest disciple of the Medicine King Valley, little genius doctor. Brought by Lanyue Marquis to the capital to cure Mingde Emperor's illness.

Closest confidant and companion of the Emperor. One of the most highly skilled martial experts in the capital.

Director of Astrology of the Directorate of Astronomy. The most eminent Daoist priest in the country with martial arts on par with Jin Xuan. He has been nursing his injuries since the fight with Mo Yi.

太师 董祝 Grand Preceptor Dong Zhu

The most senior official in court, appointed regent with Lanyue Marquis during the Emperor's illness. He had served the previous Emperor as well.

黎长青 Li Changqing

Personal bodyguard of the Emperor, Commander-general of the Imperial Palace Brave Tiger Guards as well as the Imperial Army.

叶啸鹰 Ye Xiaoying

General of the Ye Banner Battalion, father of Ye Ruoyi. He has always been loyal to Langya Prince and hence, Xiao Chuhe, who was chosen by Langya Prince.

In charge of judicial proceedings and oversees the law and order of the city

Eleventh child of the emperor, Xiao Se’s younger half-sister. She’s probably about 8 years younger than him.

Keeper of the Sword Vault in the palace.

Owner of Grand Golden Terrace and avid gambler. Known Xiao Se since young because Xiao Se was a frequent visitor at the gambling den.

姬若风 Ji Ruofeng

Former Hallmaster of Bai Xiao Hall, shifu of Xiao Chuhe, formerly Baihu Guardian. Nursing his injuries since the night Xiao Chuhe was attacked and crippled.

竹 Zhu and 龙耳 Long Er

Blind swordsman and deaf qin player, disciples of Bai Xiao Hall. Zhu means Bamboo and Long Er means dragon's ear, though it has the same sound as 'deaf'.

姬雪 Ji Xue

Only daughter of Ji Ruofeng, succeeded as Hallmaster of Bai Xiao Hall and Baihu Guardian.

天命斋大掌柜 Owner of Mandate of Heaven Shop, second oldest of the four. Regular at Grand Golden Terrace and old friend of Xiao Chuhe.

胡蛋 Hu Dan

Deputy Leader of the Three Gates and Nineteen Offices Alliance. Born in a rich family but because his mother was a concubine, he had no status and was kicked out of the family.

五呆呆 Wu Daidai

揽月坊大掌柜 Owner of Canvass Moon Restaurant, youngest and only girl of the four. Jiu Jiudao liked her and wanted to marry her.

沐春风 Mu Chunfeng

Third son of the Qingzhou Mu Family, most likely in line to inherit the family. Has an interest in medicine and wants to be Hua Jin's disciple.

无心 Wuxin, 叶安世 Ye Anshi

Disciple of Wangyou, current Sect Leader of Outerheaven. Travelled to Heavenly Revelations to settle matters of his past and seek out his mother, one of the Emperor's consorts. However, he disappeared not long after entering the city.

Followed Wuxin from Outerheaven and was left at Snowy Peak Temple to recover his lost mind.

Led 21 assassins to intercepted Tang Lian. Together with two comrades, 七杀 Qisha (Seven Kills) and 破军 Pojun (The Vanquisher), they are a trio of assassins known as 杀破狼 Sha Po Lang.

Younger brother of Xie Qidao. One of the more powerful in the group of assassins that intercepted Tang Lian.
